RC Rising started in February of 2009 and played out thru April 2010 playing our last gig at The Club 111.   We  played strictly "Americana" music. That may mean different things to different people (or nothing at all to some), but to RC Rising - it's pure Americana folk/roots/rockabilly music. Some artists we covered Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr., Slaid Cleaves, Alejandro Escovedo, Chris Knight, John Prine, Uncle Tupelo, Charlie Robison, Social Distortion, Tex Ritter (and more), with even some of our stuff was mixed in. By the time we developed our sound - it was Cow Punk! 
  RC Rising members? Well, we were Burt Watts on guitar/vocals; Ivan Thuringer on bass/vocals coming to us from Copperas Cove, TX;  and Ed Dunham on drums.
